* Logan was dedicated on November 21st at Vineyard. Unfortunately we did not manage to capture any pictures of the event because the woman we asked to take our picture while we were up front was apparently not too familiar with digital cameras. Oh well, it was a memorable day for us and he didn't spit up, cry or fuss in front of the congregation of approx 4-5,000 so that was a plus.
* The Meyers (Steve's sister and her family) came to visit us for Thanksgiving. They have three teenage kids, Lilli, Andy and Petie. We were so happy they agreed to drive the long 10+ hour car ride and spend the Holiday with us. We had a great time playing cards, eating, entertaining Christian (or I should say having Christian entertain us), eating some more etc. We also went to a drive-through festival of lights showing at a state park north of us which was really cool. They had a shed with free hot chocolate and Santa. Unfortunately there will be no sitting on Santa's lap for Christian this year. When he saw Santa, he screamed and tried to karate-chop him with his arm. Seriously. Poor Santa. Actually it was hilarious (to us, not Christian) and we wish we had caught it on video.
My brother-in-law Joel relaxing with Logan.
The Meyers are game people just like us.. a little friendly competition is always welcome.
*This weekend we went and picked up our tree. Finally a REAL tree this year and since we have high cathedral ceilings in this house, we figured why not, let's go big. So we picked up a beautiful 9+ foot douglas fir. We love it and really feel now the Christmas season is upon us.
My favorite nativity scene in the house.
This week starts the holiday parties. I have one for the military wives at Steve's work (hosted by the General's wife) and another for our church small group. We have a babysitter planned for our small group party. She was recommended to us by one of our church friends and I am sure the kids will do fine since it is in the evening, but I can't say that I'm still not a little nervous. This will be the first time we have had a babysitter come to our house.
But who wouldn't JUMP at the opportunity to babysit this cutie?! :)
Or this one?!
And a rarity.. a picture of me. Actually I just love Logan's little expression in this photo.. his sleepy pout.
I can't believe December is only 2 days away.. seriously, where did November go?!
