Happy Halloween

Afraid of the inside of the pumpkin... ?

Ok, now this is fun...

The finished product(s)

Guess who chose this costume for him?!

Now there are four pumpkins, but we know which is the cutest!

Halloween has come and gone, but as usual, the candy is here to stay. How come I always buy too much candy and then resort to eating the leftovers (and help with Christian's stash) for the next two months? Ok, honestly it only lasts like 3 weeks, but 2 months sounded better. At least this year I learned and didn't open all the bags so I was able to return one unopened. Phew. That saved me some extra hours at the gym.

Steve had a fun time taking Christian to "tic treat" around the block. They were out for a little over 45 minutes and according to Steve, he loved every minute. But really, what kid doesn't like getting free candy? I stayed at home with my little pumpkin and handed out candy to the neighborhood kids.

Logan is becoming more animated everyday and sitting up for about 30 second intervals. He also had his first taste of baby oatmeal (similar to rice cereal) this morning in his highchair. I started Christian around this same time which seemed to help his sleeping at night and Logan needs all the help he can get at the moment. He has been waking up every 2.5-3 hours again to eat. Here I thought the newborn sleeplessness was over?!?!

Oh and I can't forget. Congratulations to my cousin Sara and her husband Jason on the birth of their beautiful boy Jackson Robert Eickhoff born early this morning weighing in at 7lbs 11oz and 22 inches. We love you guys and are looking forward to getting the boys together next summer in Iowa. PS. You guys should really think about starting a blog.... :)

new toy

Thanks to our friends from our church small group, we inherited an exersaucer and Christian has taken a real liking to it. Of course it is for Logan, but try telling that to a very curious and hyperactive 2 year old. Since he is forbidden to get inside, he has learned to enjoy "fixing" it with his tools (i.e banging on it and removing the toys only to replace them in different spots).

I just love this picture of Logan. As long as he is fed, it is SO easy to get him to smile.

Christian has become quite vocal lately and his new accomplishment is repeating the ABC's (one letter at a time) and counting to five. He has also learned to repeat anything and everything he hears so it really makes you think twice what comes out of your mouth (and what they overhear on TV)!
